Inauguration of the New Working Groups Structure

At the steering committee of 2014 in Berlin, two new working groups were created, which are still operational today:

• Working group 1 focuses on “Development cooperation and emission reduction strategies through energy projects”. BMU and BMZ share the chairmanship on the German side, while MEMDD chairs for the Moroccan side. Cooperation projects discussed here include energy efficiency, local cooperation, mobility, and climate-related projects.

• Working group 2 focuses on “Cooperation on energy policy and support to investment and research projects”. This working group is chaired by BMWi and MEMDD, and covers areas like long term energy prospects, renewable energy, grid and network integration and private and research-related cooperation projects.
